19th Annual Happily Natural Day is This Weekend

Happily Natural Day, an annual festival that was founded in 2003, features music, workshops, guest speakers and a vendor marketplace. Most of all, this dynamic event promotes love and pride in being of African descent. Festival attendees can participate in workshops, lectures, and shop the marketplace for one of a kind art, jewelry, body and haircare products.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Fifth District Mini Farm (2208 Bainbridge St.) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The 19th annual Happily Natural Day and Garden Expo will offer over 20 vendors along with highly anticipated performances by Bomani Armah, Timbo King, Derek 32Zero, and more. Happily Natural Day will also include an impressive speaker lineup to include Taj Anwar, Michael Carter, Kalonji Changa, and Ron “The Gangsta Gardener” Finley.

The festivities continue on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Black & Beautiful Brunch kicking off at 11 am at the Sankofa Community Orchard (309 Covington Road). Snag tickets for brunch here.
