Richmond Technology Council (RVATECH), central Virginia’s catalyst for technology, have announced the finalists for its Annual Technology Awards, also known as #GeekProm. This is Richmond’s twenty-fourth annual “Academy Awards” of technology and is designed to celebrate the outstanding technologists who are driving the region’s technology-based economy. Each year over 700 of Richmond’s technology leaders attend the award event. The awards recognize individual accomplishments, corporate achievements, non-profit success stories, innovators in their field, and small businesses. This year’s celebration will take place on May 8th from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
“This year’s award finalists are all high achievers in their various specialties and sectors,” said Nick Serfass, Executive Director of the Richmond Technology Council. “RVATECH is proud to be able to showcase them to our tech community. Recognizing and celebrating the advanced tech expertise that thrives here locally continues to prove that Richmond is America’s new tech town.”
A reception was held at the McGuireWoods building on Wednesday evening for the nominees, judges, and event sponsors to come together to unveil the finalists. An independent panel of judges will now select the ultimate award winners from the list of finalists. Awards, sponsors, and finalists are:
