Richmond area food trucks are joining together to raise funds for one of their own, Ito’s Food Truck. In August, Ita’s Food Truck was involved in a serious crash that totaled the vehicle known for serving authentic Puerto Rican dishes. Local business owners who operate their own food trucks have organized “Eating for Ito’s,” a fundraising event that will take place on Sunday, September 8 at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery (​2410 Ownby Lane) from 12pm to 6pm benefiting Ita’s Food Truck. Participating food trucks will include Grilled Meats and Treats; Curbside Creations, Curry in a Hurry, Happy Empanada, Happy Arepas, Momma’s BBQ, Taco Club, Slideways Mobile Bistro, Dank Eats, Panchito, and Boka Tako Truck. Hardywood Park Craft Brewery will also donate a portion of their profits on September 8. The public is encouraged to attend this event.
