Standing for “Innovative Excellence,” i.e.* is a collaborative community initiative driven by Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and a host of Richmond’s most creative change makers.

A launch event, held at LaDIFF on June 23, 2011, provided a glimpse of what’s to come.

Spilling into every corner of the LaDIFF showroom, selected speakers for the first shindig, held in TED talks fashion, jumped right into interactive presentations designed to encourage innovation and creativity.

Boasting a mixed bag of the area’s top artists, musicians, and CEOs, the flagship event delivered a full day of perspectives from multiple disciplines.

Some of the good-natured ruckus makers presenting at i.e* included Ed Trask, Andy Stefanovich, Ansel Olson, Chrystal Neal Wake, Tom Silvestri, John Bryan, and John Sarvay. Best of all, i.e.* promises this to be only the beginning – with more fascinating ways to continue the conversation in the coming months to inspire the creative class in the Richmond region and across the world.
