Mean Bird Beer Dinner Supporting Beyond Boundaries

On February 25th, Richmond based businesses, Mean Bird and Väsen Brewing, will host a beer dinner featuring family style fried chicken paired with farmhouse ales, sours, and stouts benefiting Beyond Boundaries. The collaboration is part of an ongoing series of beer dinners at Väsen Brewing, located in Scott’s Addition, designed to support local nonprofits. Mean Bird and Väsen selected Beyond Boundaries as the beneficiary of the February beer dinner due to the nonprofits ongoing efforts to offer individuals of all ability levels, no matter physical, cognitive or economic situation, the opportunity to experience outdoor activities with the surrounding community.

The upcoming popup will feature Mean Bird, a popular carry out restaurant, caterer, and food truck known for its fried chicken, hot chicken, vegan Veggie Bird, and a seasonal menu. Located at 2227 W. Main Street, Mean Bird is owned by Richmond natives and restaurant veterans, Mike and Sarah Moore. Mean Bird is planning a special menu for the upcoming event to include family meal fried chicken, turnip greens, pork & leek terrine, kilt turnip salad, crisply pig’s ear, and more. Making the event even sweeter, AR’s Ames hot Southern Honey will offer a bottle of its hot southern honey at each farm table during the fried chicken course.

Tickets are $55.00 per person and can be purchased here. For more information about Beyond Boundaries, visit www.beyondboundariesrva.org. Learn more about Mean Bird at www.meanbirdrva.com and Väsen Brewing at www.vasenbrewing.com.
