MPACT & SeeClickFix

Mayor Dwight Jones launched a program to engage city residents to cite neighborhood needs and to drive municipal action in response to those issues.

The City of Richmond is the first municipality in the country to use SeeClickFix as a citizen engagement tool.

The program is called MPACT (Mayor’s Participation Action Communication Team) and is ultimately designed to foster communication between government and residents to develop a shared vision for Richmond’s future. A cornerstone of the MPACT program is the use of SeeClickFix as a tool for residents to submit priority request for services.

The City of Richmond is the first municipality in the country to use SeeClickFix as a citizen engagement tool. Residents can place requests through the city’s website, by calling the city’s services line at 311, or through their smart phones.

Issues with potholes, overgrown lots, abandoned cars or non-functioning street lights for example are tagged on a visual map through the SeeClickFix system and tracked until the service requests are completed. This customer service enhancement program allows citizens to track their requests in real time.
