Ron Stallings Invites You Back to the Hippodrome

It’s no secret that Hippodrome owner Ron Stallings has RVA buzzing about his revamp of the historic theatre. But what you may not know is that Stallings and Amanda Corbelli, the head of events at the Hippodrome, have launched a series of theme parties, called Carte Blanche, designed as a fresh alternative in local entertainment.

The debut event, sponsored by Brown Distributing and Richmond Unite, was pegged as Carte Blanche: Back to The Hippodrome, featuring live performances by No BS! Brass Band, Black Girls, and Tungs, with background ambience created by The North Street Labs Light Show. Guests arrived in costume from the decade of their choice-past or future.

“We’re not a nightclub, we’re not just a bar, and we’re not just a restaurant. We’re a source of Richmond entertainment,” explains Corbelli. Carte Blanche events will be held on Sundays, to accommodate patrons who work in the hospitality industry.
