Southern Grade at the Shed

Northern Grade, a traveling market celebrating American makers since 2010, is hosting its Richmond version of its pop-up series this weekend at the newly renovated Richmond Main Street Station. Appropriately called Southern Grade at The Shed, the local event gives conscious consumers an opportunity to meet and support creative artisans and designers.

Since its inception, organizers of Northern Grade have hosted events in over 35 marketplaces, including Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, and Austin. Northern Grade also operates a brick and mortar shop at the Seaport in Manhattan.

The group’s event at Main Street Station this weekend marks Northern Grade’s return to Richmond. Event organizers say that holiday shoppers can expect a lineup of high quality goods designed by American creatives. This year’s event will also feature beer from Väsen Brewing, one of Richmond’s newest craft breweries on a mission to become the most sustainable brewery in the region.

Southern Grade at the Shed is open from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 6pm on Sunday. Parking is available at Main Street Station. The first hour is free.
