Tang & Biscuit to Host Grand Opening Celebration for World’s Largest Shuffleboard Court

Tang & Biscuit, the world’s largest indoor shuffleboard court and social club, will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, September 1. The newly opened venue is located in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood at 3406 Moore Street and features 10 regulation courts. In addition to shuffleboard courts, Tang & Biscuit provides oversized games like giant Checkers and Jenga; a 52-foot bar with craft cocktails with names like the Tang-ulia Sunrise; a playful menu featuring daily biscuit specials, tater tots, mac and cheese; roaming court captains, live music, and a private event space.

The 18,000 square foot space, designed by 510 Architects, is owned by David Gallagher and David Fratkin, co-founders by Dominion Payroll; brokers Clint Greene; and Henry Shield, of Commonwealth Construction Management. Gary Chadwick, who most recently served as the general manager of King’s Dominion, is the chief operating officer at Tang & Biscuit.

The team behind Tang & Biscuit say that there emphasis is on community, connectivity, and having fun with friends and strangers. A sign on the wall, reading “Every Single Thing You Do Matters,” greets guests immediately upon entering the building. Richmond artists such as Hamilton Glass, Nico Cathcart, and Shaylen Broughton collaborated on multiple murals throughout Tang & Biscuit, some as long as 170 feet long.

The grand opening celebration will begin at 11am with games and prizes, surprise entertainment, and special guest Jack Lauterback from 103.7 PLAY.
